The last day teams can make trades during the 2021-22 season is Thursday, Feb. 10. The cutoff point is 3:00 p.m. ET, though it’s not unheard of for some trades to be reported shortly after the deadline.
Now that we’re past Dec. 15 and Jan. 15, both of which are important dates on the NBA calendar for trade purposes, pretty much every player in the league can be traded, but there is still a select group of players who can veto any trade. While they don’t own a no-trade clause — nobody in the league currently does, not even LeBron James, Stephen Curry or Giannis Antetokounmpo — because of their situation, they have the final say on any deal they’re involved in.
As ESPN’s Bobby Marks explains:
In total, there are 20 players who fit that description this season, plus Solomon Hill, who signed off on the Hawks trading him to the Knicks in mid-January.
Who are those players, you ask?

There’s an even smaller group of players who don’t become trade eligible until after the deadline because of the type of extension they last signed, headlined by Atlanta’s Clint Capela (Feb. 13), Denver’s Aaron Gordon (March 27), Indiana’s Malcolm Brogdon (April 18) and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid (July 18).
